Assembled and managed a cross-functional, multi-national team (Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, Finance, etc.) located in two countries and three locations, to deliver an advanced airborne electronics system in less than one year. Similar system typically take six or more years to develop.


Researched new and emerging technologies and advised clients on changes needed to existing product lines whereby they could increase product performance and reduce manufacturing and support costs.

 

Coordinated DO-160 Qualification Testing with outside labs and provided on-site support during testing.

 

Developed Graphical User Interface (GUI) designs and wrote customer / system requirements documents.

 

Generated & wrote technical proposals, system wiring diagrams, user interface documents, troubleshooting guides, installation manuals and operator instructions.

Key Areas of Technical Expertise:
  • Assisting customers define their requirements by writing Customer Requirements Documents (CRD)
  • Writing system requirements documents (SRD) based on Customer Requirements
  • Systems design of complex In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) and Cabin Management Systems (CMS)
  • Participate in detailed circuit design reviews, analysis and design compliance sign-off
  • Writing Qualification Test Plans (QTP) and Qualification Test Reports (QTR) to support certification activities
  • Coordinating Qualification Test activities at test labs
  • Installation design, DO-160C/D/E Qualification and FAA Certification support for aircraft cabin electronics
  • System troubleshooting and component (piece part) level repairs on advanced electronics equipment
  • Engineered changes to aircraft wiring on Boeing & Airbus aircraft to accommodate retrofit electronic systems
  • System installation and wiring review for Gulfstream, Dassault and other Business Jet manufacturers.
  • Troubleshooting and component level repair of complex RADAR, navigation and communication systems, including Satellite Communications (SATCOM) and Satellite Navigation (SATNAV) equipment while a Petty Officer First Class (E-6) in the United States Navy
